Updated October 28th, 2020.

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy worship gathering for all of our attendees. Before you arrive, we will do everything we can to make you feel safe in returning to church. To ensure that, we have developed a Preparedness Plan for safely reopening that is guided by 1 Peter 2:16-17, which directs us to “live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” (NIV) With that verse in mind we desire to implement our plan and ask for your cooperation with the plan based on the following principles:
  • Love will be our aim; we want to “love our neighbor” as best we can
  • We will honor God’s authority and lesser authorities
  • We will be faithful to Christ in our plans to reopen
We ask that you consider these guidelines not as restrictions but as an act of carrying out the command to walk in love and honor others so that ALL who attend our services are able to freely worship God in complete confidence of their safety and wellbeing. Please continue to pray for healing of those that are afflicted, protection for the vulnerable, support for those who are suffering emotionally because of isolation, provision for those affected economically, wisdom for our government & medical leaders, and for our local church congregation and leadership.

Reopening Schedule

Policies and Guidelines

Surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before all services, and items such as pens, bulletins, etc. will be removed to avoid unnecessary handling. Hand sanitizer and tissues will be available in multiple locations.
We encourage all who are considered at risk or have a compromised immune system to stay at home and participate in services online, whether on Facebook, YouTube or right here on this website.
Please observe recommended self-care (wash your hands, sneeze into your elbow, etc.) and stay at home if you are not feeling well. We ask that everyone refrain from physical contact. No hugs, handshakes, fist bumps, high fives, etc.
Church doors will open at 9:45AM on Sunday morning so that we can observe social distancing as best as possible with our space limitations. Please maintain social distancing as you enter and exit the building as well.
Our welcome team will open the main doors as you arrive. The Sanctuary and Fellowship doors will be propped open so no one has to touch a handle. Everyone will sanitize their hands before entering.
Due to limited space, please refrain from crowding high traffic areas (outside the Sanctuary, front door entryway, etc.) You are welcome to visit with one another after the service, but please do so in designated spaces: (1) In the Sanctuary while observing social distancing, (2) outside, but leaving a clear path for others exiting the building and observing social distancing.
Face masks/facial coverings will be required, with the exception of children under the age of 2, or those with medical conditions that do not allow for it. Face masks will be freely available for those that do not have one. As an alternative, face shields will be available for purchase ($2 each) when the doors open at 9:45AM. As per Executive Order 20-81, face coverings are required at all times when indoors, even during the sermon. When outside, if social distancing (6 feet apart) can not be maintained, face masks are also required.
You will be directly seated by household as you arrive. We will fill the Sanctuary first to the capacity limit, and then we fill begin seating just outside the Sanctuary.
Please refrain from bringing any food into the church. While you can bring a drink, it must be covered with a lid. The coffee room will be closed and the water dispenser removed.
There will be no pre-service prayer. Prayer ministry will be available after the service; however social distancing guidelines will be observed. If you are in an overflow room and want prayer, you will be brought upstairs by an usher.
The scheduling of volunteers has been simplified to minimize crowding. If you are a volunteer, you will be contacted about any changes to any previously held positions. We are now bringing in more volunteers, however, our process is still selective. Please contact Pastor Reid ( to learn more.
